Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

QuantCargo is a transportation management platform for trucking companies and the drivers who work with them. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have.

Who we are

QuantCargo Inc. Contact us at privacy@quantcargo.com.

Two kinds of user

Carriers (owners, dispatchers, accountants) use the QuantCargo web portal. Drivers use the QuantCargo mobile app. When you drive for a carrier, that carrier can see the information described below about your work for them. The carrier is a separate controller of that data and its own retention duties apply.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Name, email address, phone number, and password
  • Profile photo, home address, and emergency contacts
  • Commercial driver's licence details, medical card, and endorsement information, including scanned copies you upload
  • Payment details needed to pay you: Social Security Number or EIN, and bank account and routing numbers. These are encrypted at rest and are never shown back to you in full.
  • Documents you photograph or upload, such as bills of lading and receipts
  • Vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) and any defect photos you attach
  • Messages you send to your dispatcher

Information collected automatically

  • Location. While you are on an active load, the app records your position so your dispatcher and the customer can see the shipment is moving. Tracking runs during an active load and stops when the load is delivered. You can switch off location permission at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app keeps working.
  • Device push-notification token, so we can notify you about assignments and messages
  • App version, device model, and operating-system version, for diagnostics
  • Sign-in times and IP address, for security and audit purposes

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
  • We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Why we use it

  • To run loads: dispatch, status updates, navigation, and proof of delivery
  • To calculate and pay settlements
  • To meet transportation-safety obligations, including inspection records
  • To keep accounts secure and investigate abuse
  • To provide support when you ask for it

Who we share it with

  • The carriers you drive for, limited to what they need to dispatch you, keep their qualification files, and pay you.
  • Service providers that run the platform on our behalf: Microsoft Azure (hosting and storage), Stripe (payments), Google (maps and routing), and Firebase (push notifications). They may process your data only on our instructions.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it — for example a Department of Transportation audit of a carrier.

How long we keep it

While your account is open, we keep your information so the product works. Deleting your account closes your access to it — your email address is released, your password is destroyed, every session is revoked and your carrier relationships are ended — but it does not erase your driver record. That record belongs to the carriers you drove for as much as to you, and they are legally required to hold it: the driver qualification file for three years after you leave (49 CFR 391.51), vehicle inspection reports (49 CFR 396.11), and settlement, invoice and load history as financial and tax records. See Delete your account for the full breakdown, including how to ask us to review an erasure request that you believe overrides this.

Your choices

  • Delete your account from the app under More → Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing us. See Delete your account.
  • Edit your profile at any time in the app.
  • Turn off location or notifications in your device settings. Turning off location stops shipment tracking; your dispatcher may ask you for status updates manually instead.
  • Request a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, at privacy@quantcargo.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR — including access, correction, deletion, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Contact us and we will honour them.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit with TLS. Sensitive fields such as Social Security Numbers, EINs, and bank details are additionally encrypted at rest. Access to production data is restricted and audited. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat these categories as the ones that matter most.

Children

QuantCargo is a tool for professional commercial drivers and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
